Fairfield CT Real Estate Info, Mortgage and Home Loan Tips & Professional Advice

Fairfield is located in Fairfield County, in the state of Connecticut. The city is home to 57,814 residents and reports a median household income of about $83,511. Fairfield is one of the wealthier, larger cities, located along Connecticut’s “Gold Coast”. In July of 2006, Money Magazine named the town the “best place to live” in the Northeast section of the nation, and the ninth “best place to live” in the entire United States. Fairfield is very proud of its school system, low crime rate, wealth status, its community centers and programs, as well as its picturesque location on the Long Island Sound. The close proximity of the city to New York City allows many residents to easily commute on a daily basis.

Each spring, Fairfield hosts a Dogwood Festival that showcases the numerous blooms of the dogwood trees in the Greenfield Hill section of the city. It is because of this section and the number of dogwoods in the city that Fairfield calls itself the “dogwood capital of the world”. Fairfield is, and was, home to several famous people such as: Martha Stewart, John Mayer, Faith Hill and Tim McGraw, Don Imus, and was the main setting for the 1980s television show “Who’s The Boss”.
